Marmaris is
pretty close to Dalyan (Turtle Beach) and perhaps because of this reason it is
the most popular tour from Marmaris.
People coming to Marmaris has got
this very first option as a tour , the distance is 63 km which is one hour
journey. From Marmaris there is another option to go Dalyan , by boat ,
but personally i do not offer you to Dalyan by boat ,because by boat it will take around 3 hours journey
and on the way back from Dalyan because of the tides of the Mediterranean
sea ...it will be pretty choppy.

By bus they use very comfortable buses and fully air conditioned , when you arrive to the spot all day long you will be on the boat. The tour to Dalyan will start in Koycegiz, you will cross the Koycegiz lake and arrive to Sultaniye mud baths . There are all facilities in the site , mud pools, thermal water pools ,showers and toilets. Then you get back to your boat , there the crew will serve the lunch ,they are also selling drinks on the boat.while you are having your lunch the boat will sail through the canal of iztuzu where African Queen was filmed ( Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn was acting and some parts of this movie was filmed in Dalyan channel.)

At the end
of this sail you will arrive to the Dalyan beach ( turtle beach ) its a sand
pure sand beach around 7 km in length and on one side you have the
Mediterranean sea and on the other side Koycegiz lake so one side you have
salty water and on the other hand fresh water. This beach is also a nation park
and under the protection of the Turkish government. this is one of the last
breading place for caretta caretta turtles , the sea turtles use this beach to
lay their eggs. there are certain rules that you have to obey like not putting
you towels on the beach or you cant bring you pets like dogs on the beach .
You will have 2 hours swimming brake on the beach ,there are facilities on the beach as well like a first aid tent , cafeteria , sunbeds, umbrellas,toilets etc.
After 2 hours brake on the beach , you will sail back to Dalyan catch your bus and journey for the way back to Marmaris will start after one hour drive you will back in you hotel in Marmaris.
